Aztec Calendar Pendant with Tiger Eye and Lapis
Hand soldered pendant Necklace on sliding knot leather. The calendar contains two separate measures of time, tonalpohualli, which roughly means "day count," and xiuhpohualli, which roughly means "year count." Tonalpohualli consisted of 260 days divided into 13 months, with 20 days in each month, and was used to measure spiritual days and days of worship for specific gods.
